Aussie Survey GuideTime well considered

Independent guide for Australian adults. Referral disclosure: we may earn rewards if you join through our link and complete qualifying surveys.

A small experiment. Your own evidence.

Seven days.
All the minutes.

A free survey time log to help you decide whether the rewards fit the time and attention you spend. Print one sheet or fill it in with a PDF reader.

One A4 landscape page. No email signup. Totals are added manually.

Keep the whole picture.

Successful surveys tell only part of the story.

01

Record all three kinds of time

Count completed surveys, unsuccessful attempts, and checking or profile time. Use one row per day and add that day's attempts together. A day with no activity gets a zero.

02

Keep pending rewards separate

Record only survey rewards for the attempts in that row. When a pending reward arrives, move it to the credited column on its original row. Revise the totals so it is counted once.

03

Review the result and the experience

Add the three time columns. Enter their totals and credited rewards in the calculator. Consider the total dollars, interruptions and your chosen time limit before deciding whether to continue.

A worked example.

Suppose your log shows 30 minutes on completed surveys, 10 minutes on unsuccessful attempts and 5 minutes checking invitations. You have $8.40 credited for those attempts and $2.00 pending.

$8.40 ÷ 45 minutes × 60 = $11.20 per hour.

These figures are invented to demonstrate the calculation. The pending $2.00 is excluded until it is credited. The result is not expected earnings or a promise of available paid hours.

If that $2.00 is later credited, update its original row and remove it from pending before recalculating. Exclude referral rewards and unrelated payments from this comparison. With no time recorded, there is no hourly rate to calculate.

Keep it useful. Keep it private.

The sheet needs no name, member number or account details. Keep completed copies for yourself; this website does not collect them. A PDF reader may save your changes, so use a device and storage location you control.

You may share the blank worksheet with its source and referral disclosure intact. Publishers can link to this page; readers can download it without giving us an email address.
